It’s Heath’s first loan spell and so far, he has really made the most of it.

And on Tuesday night, he featured from the start for Accrington in their 1-0 away win against Tranmere Rovers to keep their good form of late going.

And Heath received a rather nice compliment from his manager John Doolan.

Heath operated as a left wing-back, as he often has done this season, and played the full game.

And it was another impactful performance from the Everton gem, who supplied the assist for the only goal of the game, scored by Paddy Madden.

Heath collected a lofted ball out to the left side, and showed great pace to latch on to it and take the ball inside the penalty area.

He was forced to take the ball a bit wide and come back on himself, and it seemed as though Tranmere had managed to regroup.

But Heath then clipped a brilliant ball to the back post where Madden was waiting to head home. That assist was Heath’s fifth for Accrington.

What should the next step be in Heath’s career?

After the game, Doolan said of Heath (via Accrington’s YouTube channel): “To get the ball we knew we’d hurt them in the wide areas. We knew that, we’d seen, we came Saturday to watch them.

“The lads have got to do it, the individual players have got to do it. As you just touched on with Isaac Heath there, he’s got that magic about him, he can beat (his opponent) and go both ways. He can beat his man one-vs-one.

“I said to Paddy at the end, I wanted him to be there when he (Heath) put that pinpoint cross in.”

League One clubs already eyeing Heath

So another game, another eye-catching display from Heath and Doolan saying he has ‘magic about him’ is sure to go down well with those back at the Everton academy.

His spell with the League Two club has clearly been really good for him, as it’s not the first time Doolan has heaped praise on Heath.

And seemingly his performance could help him play at a higher standard next season.

Because it’s already been reported that League One clubs like Huddersfield Town and Reading are looking at Heath ahead of the summer.

Perhaps with the way he’s going though, a Championship stint might be on the cards next term.
