Daniel Farke has provided an update on his Leeds United squad.
Leeds United have welcomed back a trio of key players ahead of the trip to Aston Villa but will be missing an attacker.
Noah Okafor limped out of the FA Cup clash at Birmingham City on Sunday with a hamstring concern after feeling some discomfort after a sprint in the second half. The winger has only once lasted the distance in his 27 appearances this season. Prior to arriving at Elland Road his time at AC Milan was disrupted by a number of niggling injuries, including hamstring and calf problems but through his own efforts away from Thorp Arch and the Leeds medical team's care he had stayed fit and available for all but one fixture.
"Sadly Noah Okafor suffered a hamstring injury, he will be out between two and four weeks," said Daniel Farke on Thursday. "It's too early to judge but he will definitely miss the Villa game and Man City game."
But there has been good news for Farke from the medical team this week. The German welcomed Anton Stach, Pascal Struijk and Daniel James back into team training. Stach has sat out the last three games with a hip problem and Struijk missed one Premier League game and the FA Cup tie with a hip issue of his own. James has struggled with a number of injuries since last summer. The winger's summer preparations were interrupted before a core muscle injury and ankle problem derailed his start to the campaign. He then damaged a hamstring tendon and missed 11 games before returning to make two substitute cameos against Nottingham Forest and Chelsea, only to report back pain last weekend.
"Anton Stach and Pascal back in training, available," said Farke. "Dan James is back. Hopefully he stays fit but looks good. All three are available."
