Leeds United have suffered an injury setback ahead of their Premier League clash against Aston Villa.
Forward Noah Okafor has been ruled out for up to a month with a hamstring injury, which he sustained in the FA Cup fourth round match at Birmingham City.
There is some positive injury news for Leeds, however, as Anton Stach, Pascal Struijk, and Dan James are set to return after overcoming their respective problems.
When asked about the team news ahead of the Villa match, Leeds boss Daniel Farke was questioned specifically about the extent of Okafor’s injury.
“Yes, sadly, Noah Okafor has suffered an injury in the last cup game, a hamstring injury,” the German told the media at Thorp Arch.
“He will be out for between two and four weeks. It is a bit too early to judge but he will definitely miss the next two games, so definitely the Villa game and also the Man City game.
“Apart from this, just good news. Anton Stach back in training, available. Pascal Struijk back in training, available.
“And also Daniel James is back. Hopefully he stays also fit right now but it looks good. All three are back in training.
“We are in the top two in terms of physical output for every game in the Premier League. We always have to invest more or try to invest more than the opponent and have to go over the line.

“And there are also sometimes a knock or sometimes even whatever stretch of a muscle and you have to deal with it.
“So overall, we are in a more or less really good position. So from the first team players at the moment, just now Okafor is out.
“And at this stage, February, the pitches are tough. A long season already in. So it is overall not too bad.
“It was a bit challenging in the last weeks that we had to change a lot our back five or back four. This was a bit challenging at times but we don’t complain, we take it as it is.”
