West Ham’s Pablo Problem Continues On

**West Ham United have been dealt a blow due to Pablo suffering from an injury, but with an update as to when the Brazilian could be back, the Hammers will now have to find an alternative.**

One of the reasons as to why it’s been difficult for Nuno to discuss the injury of January signing, Pablo, is due to the fact that the Brazilian has suffered a muscle injury and it is one of the select few injuries that is difficult to provide a timescale on as it’s tough to measure how serious and debilitiating it could be towards an individual. These injuries can often require surgery in order to resolve long-term, but in the short term, they can be soothed.

Fortunately for West Ham, it appears that the club might have opted to avoid surgery for the time being in order to get to the end of the season with Pablo available. But, in the event that the Brazilian undergoes surgery, he will certainly be out for the season, therefore, by buying our time and utilising the international break, Pablo could return for the spell where the Hammers take on Wolves, Crystal Palace, Everton and Brentford consecutively, a vital and potentially season-defining period for West Ham if we want to stay up.

The muscle injury is suspected to keep him out for 4-6 weeks, and it is widely believed by many that this has been an underlying problem for a period of time and sooner rather than later, serious and correct measures need to be taken in order to resolve the issue. West Ham were aware of this when signing Pablo.

It does put the Hammers in a slightly vulnerable and limiting position given that Nuno cannot start a game with two forwards upfront at the moment as it would leave no one as an impact sub, it is very unlikely for the foresable future you’ll see West Ham start with two strikers, likely either converting now to a back five due to the return of Jean-Clair Todibo from suspension, or perhaps another midfielder added to the mix is also a possbility, Magassa being the forefront given Potts’ suspension.

It’s a shame that West Ham has lost one of the hardest-working players on the pitch that they had and it must’ve been a massive blow for Nuno and Paco who both are huge fans of the Brazilian, but injuries can happen to anyone in Football, hopefully with the correct management we can sooth Pablo’s injury until the end of the season and he can have an impact to help the Hammers stay up.

Sometimes you have to risk the reward and then reap the consequences, that is one of these situations.
