Wolves have brutally mocked four Arsenal players on social media after 2-2 draw [video]

Wolverhampton Wanderers have brutally trolled Arsenal - and four players in particular - on social media following their 2-2 draw with the Gunners on Wednesday night.

Arsenal appeared to be heading for a seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League table when they opened up a 2-0 lead at Molineux, thanks to goals from Bukayo Saka and Piero Hincapie.

But the Gunners produced one of their worst performances of the season in the second half, giving up more possession to the home side, who hauled themselves back into the contest with a sensational Hugo Bueno strike from the edge of the area.

Arsenal's Dark Arts Fail To Pay Off Against Wolves

And two points were snatched from Arsenal's grasp when, in the fourth minute of added on time at the end of the match, Tom Edozie's strike hit Riccardo Calafiori and then the post before coming back to hit the Italian and fall into the back of the net, sparking wild scenes from the home fans.

The Gunners were trying to hold on against Wolves on Wednesday night, rather than going for the jugular and it told in the way they went about things. Some of the dark arts were on show with some tactics on display to try and run down the clock.

It did not end up working, though, with Wolves' equaliser coming deep into stoppage time - something that was not lost on the Wolves social media team.

On their official TikTok channel, Wolves posted a video entitled 'Game Management' of a number of moments in the latter stages of the game at Molineux, pointing out Arsenal's 'time-wasting' tactics.

The video first shows Gabriel Martinelli winning a corner, with the camera zooming in on the Brazilian showing 2-1 on his fingers to the home crowd. The caption reads: 'Feeling confident are we?' It carries on showing Santiago Bueno taking the ball to the corner flag and pointing to his watch, before the video is sped up to show how long it takes Arsenal to take the corner, with another caption saying: 'Must be some confusion over who takes corners' and 'If only you could practice this before matchday.'

The next clip is Gabriel Magalhaes going down with a head injury after a collision, with the caption first saying 'He must be really hurt' before it shows him running about with the caption 'Oh...he's fine'.

Then there's a clip of Leandro Trossard going down holding his face after a seemingly innocuous altercation, with a rolling eyes emjoi. When Trossard goes down again, after looking like he was going to go off the pitch, seven rolling eyes emojis appear on screen.

When the equaliser goes in, a simple emoji of someone laughing with their hand over their mouth is shown on top of images of the Arsenal players, management and fans in disbelief.

In the comments on the video, Wolves would go on to poke fun at a fourth Arsenal player - Noni Madueke. Madueke posted on social media two years ago, while playing for Chelsea: "Everything about this place is ****." Wolves posted a riposte, taking the screengrab from that old post and overlaying the word 'Great' instead.

The draw made it back-to-back stalemates in the Premier League for Arsenal and just two wins in their last seven games, with a North London Derby against Tottenham and a home game with Chelsea to come next.

The gap to Manchester City at the top of the table is just five points, with Pep Guardiola's side now holding a game in hand and all the talk in the aftermath has been on whether or not Arsenal can hold their nerve and get over the line in May, or whether it will be another second-placed finish under Mikel Arteta.
