Leeds United, Everton and West Ham monitoring Championship star - report

Leeds United are reportedly among the clubs monitoring Bristol City captain Jason Knight.

The 25-year-old is a cornerstone in Bristol City’s midfield and has been a key figure for the Robins since his move from Derby County in 2023.

He has amassed 125 appearances for his current employers across all competitions and is also an established Republic of Ireland international.

Bristol City are in the play-off chasing pack in the Championship, although it appears there could be an attempt to lure him from Ashton Gate in the summer.

Leeds United ‘monitoring’ midfielder

According to SportsBoom, Leeds are keeping an eye on the Robins captain as the closing stages of the campaign approach.

Everton and West Ham United are also said to be interested in the midfielder, who will have one year remaining on his contract when the season ends.

It remains to be seen if a move for Knight will materialise, but he could be tempted if Bristol City fail to clinch promotion.

Jason Knight’s career to date

He has spent his entire career below Premier League level and after racking up 224 appearances in the second tier, the midfielder may feel he is ready to move up a step.

In January 2023, his then-Derby manager Paul Warne described Knight as a “joy to watch”.

He told BBC Radio Derby: "He's an absolute joy to watch. Knighty, for me, is my favoured 10 because he gives you so much in and out of possession.

"In fairness, when I watch the game back there will be little things that he does that I didn't even notice."

Knight was recentlty joined at Bristol City by his younger brother Rhys, who has joined the Robins from Bray Wanderers and linked up with the club’s academy.
