Following the Red Devils’ result over Manchester City and Arsenal in January, Carrick’s men kicked off February by hosting Fulham at Old Trafford.
United’s dramatic 3-2 win over Fulham in the Premier League match from earlier this month also received a nomination in the 12-fixture list for the clash of the season.

Two Man Utd performances under Ruben Amorim are in the running for the Premier League match of the season
Ruben Amorim oversaw the first half of the Red Devils’ 2025-26 campaign before the 41-year-old former United manager was sacked by the Premier League club.
The ex-Sporting CP head coach experienced a mixed season and Man Utd’s performances under Ruben Amorim were widely inconsistent in large parts.
United’s dramatic 3-2 win over Burnley under Amorim last August was part of the nominees, with Bruno Fernandes scoring an injury-time winner from a penalty.
Joining the aforementioned Red Devils match on the list included the thrilling 4-4 draw that United played out with Bournemouth at Old Trafford last December.
