Bukayo Saka: Stats of a starboy

Bukayo Saka has been a key part of our history since making his debut back in November 2018.

Barely over the age of 17, Saka stepped onto the field to replace Aaron Ramsey in a 3-0 win over Vorskla Poltava.

Our attacker has gone on to make nearly 300 appearances in almost eight years, and after signing his latest contract to continue his journey in N5, we’ve delved into the numbers that have made Saka’s career to date.

---------------

Since stepping onto the turn in Ukraine all those years ago, no player has shone brighter for us than Bukayo.

The winger marked his 297th appearance for the club by netting his 78th goal in an Arsenal shirt, his 58th in the Premier League, cementing his place in our top 10 all-time Premier League goalscorers.

In 2019/20, he provided 12 assists and four goals across all competitions. His first strike came in a 3-0 win over Frankfurt – a match in which he also provided two assists.

Bukayo’s output has continued to be consistent across all competitions. His best combined season to date came in 2023/24, with 34 G/A.

Coming up clutch

----------------

Goals of great importance are Bukayo’s bread and butter. Whether is an early goal or a late dagger, the England international has provided big moments on big occasions.

Saka’s goal against Wolves came in the fourth minute of the game and was the 11th time he’s netted for us inside the opening 15 minutes of a game. It was also just the fourth time he’s found the net with his head.

In addition, Saka has scored 12 goals in the final 15 minutes of matches. When it comes to the big matches, Bukayo has also found himself at the centre of the show.

The winger has 27 goal contributions against the ‘big six’ (Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City). He also netted in the Champions League against Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the knockout rounds.

Euro Star

---------

After seven seasons away, we made our return to the Champions League in 2023/24, a competition that has so far proven profitable for the 24-year-old.

On his UCL debut and our first night back at Europe's top table, Bukayo netted the opening goal in a 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven.

Bukayo has made 24 appearances in total in the UCL, scoring 12 times and providing eight assists.

That output puts him in the top 10 of any player in Champions League history through their first 24 matches in the competition.

Bukayo’s performances have earned him international recognition, making his debut for England in October 2020.

The winger is now approaching 50 caps, and with 14 England goals to his name, no Arsenal player has scored more goals for the Three Lions than the London-born Bukayo.

He’s also a standout among his countrymen. Since making his debut in November 2018, only Trent Alexander-Arnold (84) has created more assists than Bukayo, with 69.

His goal contributions of 147 puts him joint fourth amongst English players since his debut.

Bukayo has taken the armband 13 times in the Premier League, the first coming in a 5-0 win over Sheffield United in October 2023.

His longest spell skippering the side came this season, leading us out on six successiveoccasions between October 18, 2025 and November 30, 2025.

Home has been where the heart is for Bukayo, too. Saka’s first goal in N5 came on October 4, 2020, heading home in a 2-1 win the Blades.

Bukayo now has 42 home goals to his name, only five players have more.
