“I had several offers…”: West Ham star reveals former Hammers boss David Moyes recently tried…

David Moyes is unquestionably a West Ham legend.

Across two spells at the London Stadium, he guided the Hammers to memorable top-half finishes in the Premier League — 6th and 7th — and lifted the club’s first-ever European trophy, the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2022–23.

Łukasz Fabiański has revealed that Everton made an approach for him last summer.

The goalkeeper, who originally joined West Ham from Swansea City and returned to the club in September 2025 after a brief spell as a free agent, spoke to WP SportoweFakty about the overtures from Moyes’ side.

“I had several offers, from Everton for a second-choice goalkeeper, and there was an enquiry from Legia, and I had various conversations,” Fabiański explained.

“However, my family and I decided we didn’t want to move. I remember a conversation last season with my family and people at West Ham. I assumed I’d play one more season and then say goodbye. Last summer changed my mind somewhat.”

Fabiański’s West Ham Future

The 41-year-old stopper hasn’t featured for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side this season and has been sidelined with injury since September.

When asked about his contract situation and whether an extension with the Hammers had been discussed, Fabiański was candid.

“We have different priorities now. January was very busy for us in terms of transfer activity,” he said “We have to wait until the very end of the season, then we’ll have a better idea of where we’re going.”
