West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo has delivered yet more encouraging news regarding striker Pablo’s return to fitness.
The January signing from Gil Vicente has been absent since a brief cameo against Burnley, with the initial diagnosis suggesting the 23-year-old could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
However, Claret & Hugh revealed earlier this week that Pablo’s injury was not as severe as first feared, and that he was expected to feature again before the end of the season.
Now Nuno has offered an even more positive update on the forward’s calf problem.

Pablo “Getting Better Each Day”
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against AFC Bournemouth, Nuno told reporters:
“We have to go day by day and assess him. He’s getting better each day, and hopefully he can join us soon. Everybody else is OK, working well and hard, and getting ready for Saturday.”
While no specific return date has been set, the language from the West Ham boss suggests Pablo’s recovery is progressing well.
Given how quickly he became an integral part of Nuno’s system — particularly alongside Taty Castellanos — his return could prove crucial during the business end of the campaign.
For a squad already stretched in attacking areas, this latest update will be received as a significant lift.
And if Pablo continues to rehab at this rate, the wait may not be quite as long as first feared.
