Nuno sends message about West Ham United fans ahead of huge Bournemouth clash

Nuno Espirito Santo is expecting a big atmosphere as West Ham United host Bournemouth in a huge Premier League game on Saturday.

Optimism has returned in east London as West Ham United host in-form Bournemouth in the Premier League at the London Stadium.

Indeed, West Ham fans are feeling confident about Premier League survival after a run of three wins in five games and they have the chance to move level on points with 17th-placed Nottingham Forest if they can beat the Cherries.

Things are looking up 😍 So who are we sending down to the Championship?!

Forest? Leeds?……Spurs? 🙏

While West Ham fans continue to protest against the club’s ownership, a confident-looking Nuno is expecting a cauldron of noise on Saturday evening. The London Stadium isn’t noted for its atmosphere, but fans are feeling confident again.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference, the West Ham head coach said: “We can expect a good atmosphere at London Stadium again, with the fans helping us and us helping the fans, and we will try to work together.”

Hammers United vow to continue in anti-board protest

Supporters’ group Hammers United organised a plane banner protest during the TV coverage of Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Burton.

A plane flew over the Pirelli Stadium, carrying the message: “[David] Sullivan & [Karren] Brady out – no more BS.”

MORE WEST HAM STORIES

Fans inside the stadium then held up red cards with “No more BS” written on them during the match.

On social media platform X, Hammers United wrote: “We’re not going away, not backing down until Sullivan and Brady leave this club. The #NoMoreBS campaign rolls on.”

Ensuring unity would be a huge achievement for Nuno at West Ham

Even Premier League survival wouldn’t quieten the West Ham fans in their protests against the board, and for good reason. The wounds go much deeper than that.

Still, if Nuno can keep West Ham up, there’s at least some reason to celebrate. At times this season, it looked as if ensuring any kind of unity would have been an impossible job.

However, Nuno has restored a sense of character to the West Ham team and he could yet keep them in the Premier League. There’s a long way to go, but there is reason to be feeling positive.

That would not answer every issue at the club, but it would be quite the achievement.
