Liverpool returns to Premier League action this weekend, aiming to build upon a confidence-boosting 3-0 victory against Brighton in the FA Cup fourth round.
The Reds make the trip to face Nottingham Forest in the top flight. Arne Slot's players head into the game sitting sixth in the Premier League standings, though they trail Manchester United in fourth by just three points and Chelsea in fifth by two points in the race for Champions League qualification.
In encouraging news for Liverpool, defender Joe Gomez has featured as a substitute in the previous two matches, with Slot now confirming he is prepared to start. The England international's availability will strengthen the team's defensive resources.
