Eddie Howe has been speaking to the media this morning, discussing injuries and availability ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League trip to Man City.
It will be a tough ask to go again just a few days on from our long trip to Baku, but we head to the Etihad in much better spirits after three wins in a row away from home.
On injuries, the good news is that **Sven Botman** should be back in the squad at Man City after missing our last two games at Qarabag and Aston Villa due to a back issue.
**Lewis Miley**, however, is still a week or two weeks, “maximum”, away from returning, with the club advised to be careful with his comeback after a dead leg “disturbed a but of the muscle.”
**Yoane Wissa** will miss out at Man City, but Howe is hopeful he’ll be back for Tuesday’s return leg against Qarabag, **Bruno Guimaraes** is in Brazil undergoing recovery and **Tino Livramento** is still targeting a return in early March after making “good progress” in his recovery from a hamstring issue.
See Howe’s latest quotes in full below following this morning’s press conference.
> _“Tino (Livramento) is making good progress but I don’t think we’re going to shave too much time off the early March target for him. Better news on Sven, he could be in and around this game.”_
>
> _“Yoane (Wissa) won’t be available tomorrow, but he could be back for Qarabag on Tuesday. He took a nasty knock in training, but he will be fine.”_
>
> _“Lewis (Miley) had a dead leg, but it disturbed a bit of the muscle. Nothing more than a week or a couple of weeks, maximum. But we’ve been told we’ve got to be careful with it.”_
>
> _“No massive update on Bruno, he’s in Brazil recovering. Seeing him watching the Qarabag game in the recovery chamber did make me laugh because it’s just his passion and his love for the team shining through! We wish him well from afar.”_
Howe also discussed the squad’s late night and lack of sleep following our midweek trip to Baku, insisting we have no choice but to recovery and be ready for tomorrow night’s fourth away game on the spin.
> _“It was a late night for us. We got back 4am maybe later. Sleep was an issue. A good night’s rest for them last night and there’s another night to go, so hopefully they will be all right.”_
>
> _“You have to (deal with the travel). I don’t think there’s a choice there. In some respects, the necessity to recover and be at your best again is a sobering thought when you play Man City and that in itself focuses the mind to not look for excuses._
>
> _“We have to turn up and be the best version of ourselves and give everything we can to win another game. The players know they have to be ready.”_
