An Everton player currently on loan at Stockport County has shared his struggle accepting his season-ending injury.
The Toffees have used the loan market smartly this season. Several players have departed on loan to gain more first-team experience.
One such player is midfielder Tyler Onyango. The 22-year-old has had a stop-start season with injuries at Stockport County.
His latest injury, which requires surgery and will keep him out for the season, is “incredibly hard to accept”, according to the player himself.
Tyler Onyango Shares Injury Disappointment
The Everton loanee took toInstagram to share his sadness after it was confirmed he would miss the remainder of the campaign. Onyango said:

“Incredibly hard to accept. Been a tough few seasons dealing with set back after set back, but I’m determined to overcome this difficult period.”
As the young English midfielder alluded to, he has struggled with injuries in recent seasons.
Last campaign, he was on loan at Stockport again, but his spell was cut short. He was only able to make seven league appearances that season.
In that last five years alone, he’s already missed 50 games through injury. That number will rise again with him out until the summer.

Onyango did his bit defensively in that game as well. He had six defensive contributions, with five recoveries and one successful tackle.
It’s disappointing for the player and clubs involved, as Onyango was showing good signs of progress. Hopefully, when he recovers from his injury, he’s able to secure another loan move to continue his progression.
