Following that, Daniel Farke’s side host Manchester City at Elland Road, with both games being ones that Leeds are expected to lose on paper.

The Whites currently have a six-point gap to the bottom three, but this could be reduced substantially in the coming weeks, with a former Manchester United player offering Leeds a brutal relegation warning.

Alan Brazil gives Leeds United relegation warning live on talkSPORT

Whilst Leeds have more than enough winnable games on paper from now until the end of the season to keep them up, the Whites mustn’t lose their composure if they see their six-point lead vanish over the next two games.

Brazil commented on Leeds’ battle to stay in the top flight on talkSPORT on 19 February when discussing the relegation battle with a Leeds fan.

“Just one (point) ahead of Spurs and three ahead of Forest, so Leeds, you’ve got to be careful, you really have. You need a couple of wins just to take the pressure off,” Brazil said.

The former Manchester United player also added: “I hope they (Leeds) stay up.”

However, if Leeds can pick up even just one point from their next two fixtures, you would argue that, with the games they have left at Elland Road, survival should be a formality for United by that point.

Data suggests Leeds are not expected to get a result at Villa Park

Although Leeds have improved tremendously since the reverse fixture with Villa at Elland Road, the data suggests United will struggle at Villa Park.

According to Opta’s supercomputer, Villa, who currently sit in third place in the Premier League, are sizeable favourites against Leeds.

According to the supercomputer, Villa have been given a 66.2% chance of beating Leeds

Leeds, on the other hand, sees their chances of winning sit at just 15.4%

The chance of a draw occurring, which would be an incredible result for Leeds, is said to be at 18.4%

While Farke may not be expected to get a result, the German certainly cannot afford to set up how he did in the last away game in the Premier League against Chelsea, with the Whites inviting too much pressure from being so defensive before being lucky to escape Stamford Bridge with a draw.
