Just in: Fabrizio Romano says Crystal Palace and Glasner in talks today over 'immediate' exit

Crystal Palace and Oliver Glasner are in talks over an immediate exit from the club after a string of poor results, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Eagles have seen their form turned around in disappointing fashion in recent months, and were held to a surprise 1-1 draw in the Conferece League playoff clash with Zrinjski on Thursday afternoon.

Fans of the club were heard booing the manager and chanting that he would be 'sacked in the morning', and it has now emerged that talks are underway over him potentially departing the club earlier than planned.

The Austrian coach has already confirmed that he will depart Selhurst Park at the end of the season when his contract expires, but talks were held during the January transfer window about leaving earlier after an outburst againt the club's ownership.

It was decided at the time that he would stay until the end of the season, but Palace have won just one of their last 15 games in all competitions, and with fans turning, Romano is now reporting that talks are underway again to discuss the situation.

"Oliver Glasner and Crystal Palace board, in direct discussions today about German manager’s immediate future," he wrote.

"Glasner will leave in June, but exit could be anticipated and happen shortly if Crystal Palace accept to proceed."
