West Ham United are among a host of Premier League and European clubs interested in Union Saint-Gilloise striker Promise David, according to reports.
The Hammers, along with Everton, Leeds, Lille and Napoli, have reportedly earmarked the 24-year-old forward as a potential target for the upcoming summer transfer window, with West Ham considered his most likely destination.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have added strikers Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe during the winter market, as well as wide forward Adama Traore from Fulham.
Castellanos has found the back of the net twice in eight appearances for West Ham, who are three points off safety with 12 games to play in the Premier League.
West Ham Eyeing Move for Promise David

According to SportsBoom, David’s impressive performances for Union SG have attracted interest from clubs across the continent, boosting his market value to €20m (£17m).
While the Belgian side have recently extended the striker’s contract until the summer of 2029, they would reportedly be open to a sale for the right price, with a gentleman’s agreement in place allowing David to depart after the season.
The 6ft 5 Canada international, who joined Union SG from Estonian side Kalju FC in the summer of 2024, has been in ‘outstanding’ form this season, scoring 15 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions.
He found the back of the net twice in the Champions League, scoring in Union SG’s wins over PSV and Galatasaray.
West Ham Could Move for Charlie Cresswell

Amid their ongoing Premier League relegation battle, West Ham are keeping an eye out for potential reinforcements in the summer if they manage to avoid the drop.
According to reports, the Hammers are also admirers of Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell and could move for the Englishman if they stay in the Premier League.
Cresswell has no shortage of suitors in the Premier League after emerging as one of the best young defenders in Ligue 1 during his two seasons with Toulouse.
West Ham explored a potential January deal for the 22-year-old, but Toulouse were not keen on selling at that point in the season.
Why Promise David is Dubbed ‘Mini Osimhen’
victor osimhen
David’s impressive performances in Belgium have earned him comparisons to Nigeria and Galatasaray star Victor Osimhen. We asked ChatGPT why the Canadian is labelled by some as ‘Mini Osimhen’:
Similar physical profile – David shares traits with Osimhen, combining pace, strength and intensity, allowing him to battle centre-backs and attack space aggressively.
Direct attacking style – Like Osimhen, David thrives on running in behind, pressing defenders and playing on the shoulder rather than dropping deep.
Goal threat through movement – His goals often come from sharp box movement and quick reactions, reinforcing stylistic comparisons rather than overall status.
