And he sees daily evidence on the training pitch to back up his belief that results will turn.
The Seagulls aim for what would be only a second Premier League win since the end of November as they go to Brentford.
The backdrop to their West London trip includes one report of unrest in the camp which is being described by a well-placed source as inaccurate and divisive.
The report was not mentioned during Hurzeler's Friday morning press conference but appears to have caused a degree of anger at Lancing.
Albion are known for keeping calm from board level down in testing times and head coach Hurzeler said: “I think it's very important and I feel it.

“I think not only words written in the media. I really feel the support. I really feel the belief. I really feel this togetherness.
“I think the club went through much worse times than where we are now at the moment and they know how to deal with these kinds of situations.
“Of course, the results aren't great, but we keep focussing on the process.
“We keep focussing on the things we can influence.
“We keep focussing on being a great unit, on being together and then we all have to believe and I think that's also what the board showed.
“We all have to believe that we can get out of the situation even stronger.
“And therefore, we try to go for it for tomorrow.”
He added: “I think it's a very important attitude, not only football but generally in life to always know where you come from, to always know how you got to this place.
“What made you so special in the last years to get where you have been.
“To get understanding why expectations can be like this.
“The only thing what brought us there is hard work, the only thing what brought us there is togetherness.
“How we stick together in tough moments.
“Also, in the last season and the season before, I think the club had tough moments, but they always stick together and they always get positive results afterwards.
“That is what we try to do again.
“It’s just repetition. I know that we're not in a great place.
“I know that the table doesn't look great, but we also know what we are capable of doing.
“We also have a belief. Although the results are not there, I see belief in the group, I see a hunger in the group.
“I see the group daily working outside on the pitch, having a great effort, challenging each other, holding each other accountable.
“That's why I'm still sitting here in front of you and being very positive.
“A lot of people don't see how this group sticks together.
“A lot of people don't see the character of each player individually.
“And I see it in the daily behaviour, and that's why I'm positive and we will keep fighting and we'll keep finding a way to get out of the situation.”
Albion are midway between European and relegation places in terms of points but their form over the last two months means there is more reason to look down than up.
Hurzeler does not want to look in either direction and says the focus must be on the Brentford match.
He said: “Everyone knows me. I am a positive person and I'm always thinking positive.
“I'm not afraid of anything, so that's how we will face the next match.
“We'll face it with everything we have in our body, that we have in our mind, and then we have a big chance to win it.”
