Tyler Onyango has vowed to come back stronger than ever after a season-ending injury away from Everton.
Onyango moved back to Stockport County in League One on loan last summer, but a hamstring injury has cut his campaign short.
The 22-year-old will now undergo surgery before spending a number of months on the sidelines.
With his Everton contract expiring at the end of the season, it seems certain that he will leave Hill Dickinson Stadium and continue his career elsewhere.
Dave Challinor has confirmed in his pre-match media that Tyler Onyango has been ruled out for the remainder of the season through injury.
Wishing you all the best in your recovery, Tyler 💙#StockportCounty

Tyler Onyango sends message after season-ending injury
Onyango has made four Premier League appearances for Everton during his time at the club, but hasn’t featured in the top-flight since the 2023-24 campaign.
The 22-year-old has been on numerous loan spells, at the likes of Burton Albion, Forest Green and Stockport.
This term, Onyango has struggled with fitness issues at the Hatters, only making 10 League One appearances before his hamstring injury.
He was playing in his second game back in the team last Saturday when he suffered the season-ending blow, during a 1-0 loss to Bradford City.
Following the news that he will be out for a lengthy period, Onyango took to his story to send a message to Stockport and Everton fans.

He said: “Incredibly hard to accept. Been a tough few season dealing with set back after set back, but I’m determined to overcome this difficult period.”
What next for Onyango?
With Onyango urning 23 at the start of March, it’s difficult for Everton to justify giving him a new contract.
The midfielder has consistently suffered from injury problems throughout the last few seasons, and is nowhere near the Toffees first team.
Onyango showed some glimpses of his talent for Stockport this term, but as shown by the Sofascore graphic below, he did little to stand out.

Onyango started 13 games across all competitions, grabbing two assists in total and maintaining a 74.7 per cent pass accuracy.
The most likely outcome will see the Everton academy graduate move on in the summer, and find a new permanent home.
