Fresh blow rules star out of Leeds United visit to Aston Villa as Unai Emery gives updates on…

The Aston Villa team news for Saturday’s clash against Leeds United at Villa Park.

Aston Villa have suffered a fresh injury blow for Saturday’s Premier League visit of Leeds United to Villa Park for which a midfield ace has joined five others in being out.

Harvey Elliott joined Villa on loan from Liverpool in September and the 22-year-old has since featured both from the start and the bench for Emery’s side who sit third in the Premier League table.

Emery, though, has revealed that Elliott has suffered a blow which will rule him out of Saturday’s visit of Leeds for which John McGinn, Boubacar Kamara, Youri Tielemans and Alysson are also all out injured in addition to keeper Marco Bizot being suspended.

Defender Matty Cash, though, is now back available having missed his side’s two games with a knee injury.

Speaking at Friday’s pre-match press conference, Emery said: “Matty Cash is coming back. He trained the last two training sessions and he is feeling good, and he is coming back.

“The players who were injured are still being injured – John McGinn, Boubacar Kamara, Youri Tielemans and Alysson.

“Harvey Elliott, as well, is not available for tomorrow. The other players are available.”
