An estate agent has named six areas of Liverpool proving popular with first time buyers. Lyons Estates, which is based in Bootle, argued in a recent blog post on its website that Liverpool is the “perfect location to buy your first property" and went on to name the areas best for first-time buyers.
The businessargues there are several reasons for this. Firstly, Liverpool’s average houseprice is nearly 40% lowerthan the UK national average. Secondly, Lyons Estates says there are a range of work opportunities, especially in the marketing and creative sectors.
Thirdly, there are several areas of the city undergoing regenerationprojects. In terms of areas that are popular with first-time buyers, Lyons Estates cited six areas in total.
The first two are the city centre and the Baltic Triangle within it. Lyons said: “With their ongoing regeneration, vibrant culture, and close proximity to major amenities, the city centre and Baltic Triangle offer strong investment potential for property buyers.

“With a range of homes and modern apartments, these central areas are perfect for anyone who wants to be in the heart of Liverpool and really immerse themselves in Liverpool’s more bustling areas.”
In terms of south Liverpool, Lyons cited Allerton and Mossley Hill. The business said: “If you’re looking for a quieter, more suburban feel that still provides convenient access to the centre, the Allerton/Mossley Hill area should definitely be on your radar.
“With a range of gorgeous houses and apartments, all with great character and access to brilliant green spaces and local shops, this area is perfect for anyone looking to balance city life with suburbia.”
Meanwhile, Anfield and Walton in north Liverpool were recommended. Lyons Estates said: “The Anfield/Walton area is an attractive option for those seeking affordability, large homes, and proximity to the city centre because it offers more reasonably priced housing options compared to other parts of the city.

“This area has plenty of spacious homes that suit families or individuals needing extra space.
“Its close proximity to the city centre ensures convenient access to urban amenities, employment opportunities, and transportation links, all while maintaining a potentially lower cost of living.
“These combined factors make the Anfield/Walton area a compelling choice for budget-conscious buyers or renters who want ample living space without sacrificing connectivity to the city.”
