It was our final session ahead of Saturday night’s Premier League visit of Newcastle United, where kick-off is scheduled for 20:00 (UK).
Pep’s pre-match fitness update
With leaders Arsenal not playing until Sunday, we know that victory in this one will move us just two points behind the Gunners and pile the pressure on Mikel Arteta’s men.
However, Newcastle have been in improved form recently, winning at Spurs a fortnight ago before an FA Cup victory over Aston Villa and a 6-1 defeat of Qarabag in the Champions League in midweek.
We can take confidence from previous encounters at the Etihad, with City going unbeaten in our last 21 home league games against the Magpies.
Despite that extraordinary record, Pep Guardiola and his players know it will count for little once the game kicks off.
