Everton play host to Michael Carrick and Manchester United on Monday night.
It will be the first meeting between the two sides at the Hill Dickinson Stadium – and the Toffees desperately need a win having gone six games without victory at the new ground.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the clash, Carrick highlighted exactly what he expects from Everton fans, and showered former Manchester United boss David Moyes in praise as well.
Let’s hear your score predictions for Everton’s game with Manchester United!
Can the Toffees finally halt their winless run at the Hill Dickinson Stadium? 🙏

Michael Carrick expecting ferocious atmosphere inside the Hill Dickinson Stadium
The 44-year-old said: “David’s teams are hard to play against. He’s such a good manager. With the experience he’s got and knowing what it takes to have success in this league, it’s a new challenge for us. It’s one we’re looking forward to.
“It’s going to take a lot (to win). I know it’s a new stadium, but historically it’s always been tough. It’s always been the atmosphere and the supporters… always been one of the toughest ones that I’ve played away from home.”
Manchester United will be looking for revenge after an embarrassing result against Everton at Old Trafford back in November, losing 1-0 despite the Toffees having ten men for most of the game as Idrissa Gueye was dismissed in the 13th minute.
It will, however, be tough for Moyes to repeat the feat against a Manchester United side reborn under Carrick, who has overseen four wins and a draw from his last five Premier League outings – including wins over Arsenal and Manchester City.

If Everton – who almost signed Carrick for Moyes in 2004 – can record another win, it would secure a first Premier League double over Manchester United in 12 years.
What Michael Carrick said about David Moyes after playing under the Glaswegian at Old Trafford
Carrick actually made 36 appearances under Moyes at Manchester United in the 2013/14 campaign, before a 2-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park ironically cost the Glaswegian his job.
The current interim boss at Old Trafford was one of few who actually defended Moyes in public amid intense early pressure, saying: “Obviously with the new manager and new staff coming together and gelling, it (defeating Arsenal) helps the feeling within the club.
“It is easy to jump on the bandwagon when we have lost a game or two and people are saying it is all wrong. We knew that wasn’t the case.”
Carrick did however allude to doubts over Moyes in his Between the Lines autobiography, mentioning that the 62-year-old sometimes said the wrong words to a group of vastly experienced winners.
He wrote: “I got on fine with David. Never had a bad word with him, never fell out with him. He arrived full of energy and ideas for how to improve us. I remember at one of his first meetings, David said to us, I believe I can make you better. I know you won the league last year and I’ve obviously been watching you. I can make you run more… I just think what he said didn’t come across the right way.
“We’d just won the Premier League by 11 points, scored 11 goals more than anybody else, and won a lot of games as well, with scores like 3-0, 4-0.”
Everton made history with THAT win at Old Trafford!
That was arguably the beginning of the end for Moyes as he lasted just ten months at Manchester United, but he can get a bit of revenge on the Red Devils with another victory over them on Monday.
