Oliver Glasner could be dismissed by Crystal Palace following a poor run of form in South London.
Crystal Palace could be the next Premier League club to appoint a new manager after an already fractured relationship with current boss Oliver Glasner appeared to reach breaking point on Friday.
The BBC reports that the Eagles are considering sacking the manager before the end of the season, despite Glasner already set to depart the club come the end of the campaign. The Austrian has managed just one victory in his last 15 matches in charge across a dismal run of form.
Crystal Palace are still competing in the Europa Conference League and must be careful not to be sucked into a relegation battle with the likes of West Ham and Leeds United now picking up regular points.
When asked if he would be in charge until the end of the season, Glasner said: “I always said, and this wasn't the first press conference where I could just repeat myself. As I said, eventually you always depend on your players, and they will get all the support like always, and then we will see.
"In football, it's easy. As a manager, you will stay or be allowed to stay when the results are OK. Football is all about this and the last months, the results were not good. The performances were not consistently good and that's it."
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane has emerged as an early frontrunner for the job thanks to his impressive work at Ferencváros. Thomas Frank is another option following his dismissal at Spurs earlier this month, with TEAMtalk claiming that Crystal Palace had been ‘actively’ considering a move for the manager last weekend.
Frank remains very well respected in the Premier League despite a poor run at Spurs, having impressed previously at Brentford. While in charge at the Gtech Community Stadium, the manager had heaped praise on the atmosphere at Selhurst Park and the running of the club.

In quotes that could point to the opportunity tempting Frank, the coach said in 2021: "I need to praise Crystal Palace because they have been in the Premier League for the last eight years and have been very consistent in everything they do. They have a low budget and constantly produce good performances in the last eight years. It is very impressive what they have achieved."
When previewing a visit to Selhurst Park, Frank added: "It is going to be very difficult. Selhurst Park is one of the most difficult places to go in the Premier League. They will be on top of us from the first minute and a very strong counter-attacking team.
"When we have the ball, we need to be well organised behind the ball because we will lose it eventually, unless we put it in the back of the net, so that is where we have to be very sharp. It's going to be a very tough test, but we are confident and we believe in ourselves. We will go there and do our very best to be brave again."
