It is the first of three such breaks that Andoni Iraola’s side will have between now and the end of the season, after they were knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round.
With trips to Burnley, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest the only three of the side’s final 12 games that are north of London, Iraola’s team could benefit hugely from missing out on the latter stages of the cup come the end of the campaign.
The next 11-day cup break comes at the start of March, between the Brentford game at home and the trip to Burnley.

Then, after Manchester United visit on Friday, March 20, the next game for Bournemouth is a trip to Arsenal on April 11, more than three weeks later.
There is an international break for the first two weeks of that time, but Iraola’s squad will have an extended period to prepare for their visit to the Gunners – and it is an interval which could see them play a friendly.

Asked if the team will benefit from being fresher than opponents coming into the end of the campaign, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “We have another kind of rest like this one, it's like 10 days or something like this, and that I think is okay, a little bit like extra.
“The second break that you said where after United, I think we are like more than three weeks without playing a game.
“That is a strange thing in mid-season, and I focus right now until the United game, try to arrive as good as possible to that moment.
“Then we will have to analyse how we deal with these three weeks because it's true that part of the team will go with the international games and okay, they will keep playing.
“But we are thinking a little bit how to deal with these three weeks, give them some days off, probably.
“I don't know, try to play a friendly because it's a strange thing to have three weeks without a game, but it's just that specific three weeks. The rest more or less is going to be the same as always.”
