Is Aston Villa vs Leeds United on TV? Coverage details with Sky Sports, TNT Sports selections…

Leeds United face high-flying Premier League hosts Aston Villa at Villa Park today.

Leeds United visit Aston Villa in a massive game at both ends of the Premier League table today - but is the game on TV?

Leeds and Villa will lock horns for the second time this season in this afternoon’s 3pm kick-off at Villa Park, three months on from Villa’s 2-1 win at Elland Road at the start of November.

This afternoon’s showdown presents another huge game at both ends of the Premier League table in which Villa sit third and only three points behind second-placed Manchester City.

Unai Emery’s hosts are eight points behind leaders Arsenal but having played a game less than the Gunners and certainly in the title race conversation to some degree.

At the other end of the table, Daniel Farke’s 15th-placed Whites sit six points clear of the relegation zone and head to Villa Park still in the midst of a fine run featuring just two defeats from the club’s last 15 games in league and cup.

However, despite the huge amount at stake, the contest was not picked for TV coverage upon the broadcast selections for February being announced on December 17.

Five other games were initially selected instead, Manchester City's hosting of Newcastle United moved to a 12.30pm kick-off today for coverage on TNT Sports but then moved again to an 8pm start due to Newcastle being involved in a Champions League clash away from home in midweek.

That means that West Ham's visit of Bournemouth which was also selected for broadcast becomes today's first televised Premier League game after a long wait in a 5.30pm kick-off on Sky Sports, followed by the City vs Newcastle clash on TNT.

A triple-header of televised 2pm games is then on offer the following day ahead of the North London Derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal at 4.30pm.

In the 2pm kick-offs, Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool is on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Ultra HDR, Sunderland v Fulham on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR and Crystal Palace v Wolves on Sky Sports Plus and Sky Sports Ultra HDR.

The North London Derby is then on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR in a 4.30pm start.

Manchester United's visit to Everton is then the Monday Night Football game on Sky Sports in an 8pm kick-off at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

It all means that Villa vs Leeds is one of just three Premier League games not televised this weekend, along with the other two 3pm kick-offs today of Chelsea vs Burnley and Brentford vs Brighton.
