"I'm sure" - Jadon Sancho on Leeds United with Whites admission, prediction and Aston Villa plan

Aston Villa winger Jadon Sancho has sized up Saturday’s visit of Leeds United.

Jadon Sancho says his Aston Villa side are relishing Saturday’s Premier League visit of Leeds United in the face of an honest Whites admission but confident prediction.

Villa and Leeds will lock horns for the second time this season in Saturday’s 3pm kick-off at Villa Park, three months on from Villa’s 2-1 victory at Elland Road in the reverse fixture in November.

Thirteen weeks later, Villa now sit third in the Premier League table but Sancho admits his team face a “tough” test against Daniel Farke’s 15th-placed Whites who have pulled six points clear of the dropzone through a strong recent run.

Sancho, though, says his side are particularly excited about the prospect of such a big home fixture about the Whites and is predicting another another positive result for his side if they stick to their gameplan.

“I’m sure we can”

“We can't wait to be in front of our fans again.

“I love playing in front of the home fans. They get behind us a lot, and they support us to the end.

“We’ve got a big game against Leeds coming up, so we’re looking forward to it.

“Again, another tough opponent, but again, if we stick to our gameplan (and) play how we play, I’m sure we can get another result.”

Sancho added: “Being third in the Premier League, it’s not a bad position to be in.

“I think the team, from where we began to where we are now, is an amazing job, but again, (the) job’s not finished, so we’ve got to carry on each game.”
