Schoolboy defender Angelinou Pedro scored a late winner as Arsenal U18s secured a 2-1 victory away to ten-man Aston Villa today.
Arsenal made eight changes from the side that lost to Tottenham Hotspur, which included Charlie Purdy and Saurap Sampang making their debuts at this level in midfield.
Schoolboys Elyon Mbala and Pedro were also given runouts along with first year scholar Marley Frohock. Sam Chapman was named captain on his return to the team.

Arsenal took the lead in the 18th minute, with Louis Zecevic John stepping up to score a spot-kick which he had won himself.
Ten minutes into the second half, Villa were reduced to ten men with Vincely Mudame dismissed for a foul on Zecevic John.
Arsenal made some alterations, with Maalik Hashi coming on prior to the introductions of Joshua Tahou and schoolboy Hakeem Abubakar.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, Villa managed to equalise courtesy of Joshua Blake.
However, Pedro made the decisive intervention as he scored in the third minute of stoppage time.
