Tottenham, Everton, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are all seen as potential competition to Napoli for Marcos Senesi.
That’s according to Area Napoli, who cover their side’s efforts to get the defender today. The Bournemouth man has a queue of suitors as he looks set to leave on a free transfer in the summer transfer window.
Area Napoli report that Napoli are one of the sides eyeing a move. Injuries in their squad have led to ‘reflections’ and sporting director Giovanni Manna is already looking around.
Senesi is one of the players in his crosshairs. The 28-year-old defender is an old target but there could now be an opening to finally get him.
Tottenham, Everton, Aston Villa and Newcastle
The major problem is the competition for his signature. Napoli need to ‘watch out’ for Tottenham, Everton, Aston Villa and Newcastle United in that regard. Roma and Juventus are also accelerating their efforts to get the Argentine.
This is not the first time that Sport Witness have seen Premier League sides linked with a move for the Bournemouth man.
A report on the 18th put Tottenham into the mix, stating that they were potentially battling with Barcelona for Senesi’s signature this month. That came after a previous report on the 13th suggested they had their eye on him.
Agents hard at work
Everton were named as potential suitors on the 9th. That report had them in the mix with the likes of Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
This is the first time, though, that Aston Villa and Newcastle have been added to the mix. Given their PSR issues in recent windows, perhaps it’s not surprising they’d have an eye on free agents, though.
The reality is that this feels like his agents shopping around and drawing up interest. That would certainly make sense given Sport Witness covered a report starting they had told Bournemouth Senesi will be leaving this summer.
