West Ham leak from mystery coach lifts the lid on Summerville's big secrets

Unplayable Crysencio Summerville is leading the charge to keep West Ham in the Premier League – and now he has revealed the secret to his astonishing turnaround.

If the Hammers stay up this season it will be largely down to the fine form of flying Dutchman Crysencio Summerville.

The 24-year-old’s West Ham career had never taken off until his current run of scintillating form which has breathed life into the club’s survival bid and seen him nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award.

Summerville has scored six goals in his last seven games for West Ham.

That’s the same number he had managed in his previous 56 – yes FIFTY-SIX – with the Hammers and former club Leeds United.

It’s not just his goals, though.

Summerville’s stunning West Ham turnaround

No player has attempted more dribbles in the Premier League since the start of the year than Summerville, or more dribbles that ended in a shot or a chance created.

In fact his seven goals and assists in all competitions in 2026 has only been bettered in the Premier League by Cole Palmer and Viktor Gyokeres.

Is this just a purple patch or is Summerville really one of the best forwards in the Premier League? 🤔

That form has helped West Ham win five and draw one of their last seven matches – and it could and should be seven wins from seven.

However, most West Ham fans are not overly surprised by the star’s form, because they were excited by Summerville from the moment they saw him after his £26m arrival from Leeds in the summer of 2024.

Julen Lopetegui did not share that enthusiasm, rarely using Summerville during his ill-fated six months in charge.

Graham Potter instantly made him a key starter only for Summerville to be cruelly struck down by injury just 45 minutes into his first game at the Hammers helm.

After eight months out with that injury, prolonged by Summerville’s initial decision to try and heal naturally, Summerville returned with a stunning cameo appearance to help West Ham beat Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest 3-0.

There is no lack of irony that Summerville’s game-changing display helped get Nuno the sack and two weeks later he was his manager at West Ham.

It has taken time, too long some might argue, for Nuno to start really getting a tune out of Summerville.

But now the electric, jet-heeled winger won’t stop singing.

It has left many wondering what is behind the astonishing turnaround in the Dutchman’s performances.

They need wonder no more, though, after a West Ham leak revealed the secrets of Summerville’s dramatic transformation.

And there is one big secret he is keeping from everyone about this Hammers heroics.

Mail Sport journalist James Sharpe claims a mystery West Ham coach has spoken to him about Summerville on the condition of remaining anonymous.

It is revealed that Summerville keeps a vision board which comprises a collage of pictures, words and phrases to keep track of his aspirations.

The mystery Hammers coach says before the start of the year, Summerville wrote down a list of aims and targets.

Collages, secret targets and a World Cup place helping Summerville finally fire

Those aims and targets are kept a strict secret by Summerville – but it is believed he is on his way to ticking some of them off if he continues his form during the relegation run-in.

One of Summerville’s goals will undoubtedly be to force his way into the Holland squad for the World Cup this summer.

Word is the Hammers ace will be in the Dutch senior squad for the first time when the March internationals roll around.

That – and becoming West Ham’s main man – is why the mystery Hammers coach says everyone behind the scenes at the club have noticed an ‘extra spring in Summerville’s step in recent weeks’.

Long may that continue – because if it does, the Hammers are staying up.
