West Ham drew 0-0 with Bournemouth at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon
West Ham made it three clean sheets in four games in all competitions as they picked up a point from a 0-0 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
A 96th-minute Manchester United goal is the only time the Hammers have been breached in their last four games. They had 18 shots against the Cherries but hit the target with just two of those attempts. Bournemouth did hit the post as they had four shots on target from 10 attempts.
They are now just two points behind Nottingham Forest in 17th before they host Liverpool at the City Ground on Sunday afternoon.
“The boys competed really well, we were organised, we didn't allow too many chances in terms of Bournemouth, the way they play,” said Nuno Espírito Santo after the game.
“Of course, when the game opened up, it could go both ways, but that is the risk that we acknowledge and we wanted to take.
“But overall, it was a good performance, and I'm sad about the result because we almost got there.
“The chances that we created could have been different, but I’m proud of the way the boys worked.
“There are many things that we are improving and today we showed that we are resilient, we were compact, we didn't allow chances, we had good possessions.
“Thank you to our fans that, again, until the last minute were supporting us.”
