West Ham drew 0-0 with Bournemouth on Saturday evening as they picked up a point in the Premier League relegation battle

Nuno Espírito Santo has called on West Ham fans to continue to throw their support behind his side following Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Bournemouth at the London Stadium.

The Hammers had 18 shots in the game but only hit the target twice as they struggle to create many clear-cut chances. Bournemouth hit the post during the game but the result means the Irons have now kept three clean sheets in their last four games in all competitions.

The only goal they have conceded in the last four games is against Manchester United, when Benjamin Sesko netted a 96th-minute equaliser for the Red Devils.

After the draw with Bournemouth, Nuno said: “It's this feeling that we have, that we are almost getting there. We had the same feeling against Man U and today again.

“As I said, let's keep going, let's keep going, keep believing. I have to thank our fans that, again, stayed till the end and supported, because we're going to need them at home.

“Home form is going to be decisive and we have to realise that when the crowd is behind the boys, they perform much better.”

He added: “Recently, we've been showing that it's not all about the back line. It starts with our striker, our shape, our organisation, reducing gaps, closing the lines, pressing really strong.

“It takes a lot of energy from ourselves, we press high, we chase. It's about that, it's not always trying to contain, but the way we press, the boys are working really hard.

“Like I said, it's not about our goalkeeper and back line, it starts with our striker.”
