Manchester City put the pressure back on Arsenal FC with victory over Newcastle United.
Man City closed the gap on Arsenal to just two points after they defeated Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday night.
Nico O'Reilly netted a first-half brace as the Blues were forced to hang on against a resolute Newcastle side, in what could prove to be a huge win in the title race. City have now played as many matches as Arsenal in the league and know they will win the competition if they win all of their remaining matches, given that one of them is against the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta's side could stretch the gap back to five points when they face Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby on Sunday afternoon, with City due to play a game in hand against Crystal Palace over the next few months. Here is all you need to know in the Premier League title race.

Manchester City will fancy their chances of picking up some more wins over the coming weeks as they aim to put more pressure on Arsenal in the Premier League.
City are back in action when they travel to face Leeds at Elland Road next Saturday evening, before a home match against Nottingham Forest the following midweek. The Blues travel to face Newcastle in the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday 7 March and return to league action with a trip to face West Ham on Saturday 14 March.
The Blues' final match before the March international break is the League Cup final against Arsenal at Wembley Stadium, in what could be a huge psychological test for both sides. City then face two huge tests when they return to league action, with a trip to face Chelsea on the weekend of 11 April and a home match against Arsenal the following weekend.
Arsenal next five Premier League fixtures
Arsenal will hope to reestablish their five-point lead in the Premier League title race when they face fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby on Sunday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta's side face another tough test when they host Chelsea in another London derby next weekend, before they make the trip to face Brighton the following midweek. Arsenal will take on Mansfield Town in FA Cup fifth-round action and return to the league with a home match against Everton on Sunday 15 March.
Arsenal face Man City in the League Cup final at Wembley Stadium in their final match before the March international break and return to action with a home clash against Bournemouth on the weekend of 11 April.
