Ademola Lookman signed for Everton in January 2017, and he arrived with big potential.
Everton weren’t able to get the best out of Ademola Lookman, as he scored just four goals in 48 appearances.
The Toffees ultimately sanctioned his sale during the summer of 2019, and since then, he’s been on a journey to show his true potential.
Who is the most exciting Everton prospect? 🤔
It was at Atalanta where Lookman became borderline world-class, as he netted an iconic hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.
Lookman now finds himself at Atletico Madrid, and manager Diego Simeone gave his verdict on the former Toffees attacker after last night’s game against Espanyol.

Lookman has made a very impressive start to his Atleti career, as he’s already registered six goal involvements in his first six games.
The 28-year-old was again on the scoresheet against Espanyol last night, and Simeone was full of praise for the Nigeria international post-match.

“He fits the team perfectly,” Simeone stated,
“We just need him to add more collective defensive work to his attacking quality and fully embrace the team spirit that’s always been essential for us.”
“He has different qualities compared to our other forwards. He’s more of a specialist in one-on-ones than in combination play, even though he can do that as well, and he immediately made a very good impact on the team.”

Everton must regret Ademola Lookman sale
Everton will surely regret the sale of Lookman in hindsight, as they were too quick to write off a young player.
The Toffees banked £22.5m for the Nigerian, which at the time seemed like a really good deal for the club.

However, in 2024, Atalanta could’ve cashed in on Lookman for in excess of £60m when Arsenal and PSG were circling.
The Europa League champions decided to retain his signature and eventually his contract ran down to the point in which Atleti managed to secure him for a discounted £34m in the transfer window just gone.
