Former Everton gem has 12 goal involvement in 17 starts this term

Nathan Broadhead made his Everton debut in the Europa League several years ago.

Broadhead was a really exciting prospect in the Finch Farm academy, as he scored 19 goals for the under-21s.

Carlo Ancelotti spotted his talent and gave him his second senior appearance for Everton in April 2021.

Does David Moyes need to put more trust in Everton’s academy players? 😤

Ultimately, Broadhead didn’t manage to cement himself as a regular first-teamer and was eventually sold on a permanent deal to Ipswich Town during the summer of 2023.

After a very productive spell there, Wrexham paid a club-record £7.5m to sign Broadhead last summer.

With that said, we looked at how the 27-year-old is getting on.

Wrexham are sitting in sixth place, only three points behind fourth place, so they have a very realistic chance of securing a play-off spot.

Who is the most exciting Everton prospect? 🤔

Nathan Broadhead labelled a ‘match-winner’

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has been full of praise for Broadhead since he joined.

Speaking earlier this season, Parkinson labelled him a ‘match-winner’.

“He (Broadhead) is a match-winner, there is no doubt about that, and you can see first half he was probably trying too hard.

“Second half we got him the ball and that is key, we have to trust him with the ball and we have to serve him in those pockets because not many players have his quality.”

Is it time for Everton to start thinking about a change? 👋

Whilst it didn’t quite work out at Everton, it’s good to see Broadhead fulfilling his potential at a club challenging to get into the Premier League.
