Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has found himself becoming a target of Italian giants Juventus, according to reports.
David de Gea is a Manchester United legend from his 12 years at Old Trafford having won a record-matching four Player of the Year awards.
The 35-year-old currently finds himself playing for Italian side Fiorentina, who are in a relegation battle in Serie A.

Italian media have ripped into De Gea recently, but he has also produced some jaw-dropping saves for Fiorentina.
Ahead of the summer transfer window, TuttoMercatoWeb are reporting that David de Gea has become the subject of interest from Juventus.

During his time at United, De Gea was often involved in the conversation as one of the world’s best goalkeepers.
One of his biggest competitors was Italian shot-stopper Gianluigi Buffon.

As quoted by TNT Sports, De Gea once referred to Buffon as “an idol and a living legend” in 2016.

Current Juve goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio has made a string of errors which has led the Italian giants to explore options for a new shot-stopper this summer.
David de Gea’s record at Fiorentina this season
Only three clubs have conceded more than Fiorentina’s 39 goals this season, and De Gea has only kept three clean sheets in 25 Serie A matches in 2025/26.
However, De Gea has been “brilliant” according to Gary Lineker, and he has often been a shining light in an otherwise disappointing side.

If Fiorentina are headed for relegation, then it could be the perfect opportunity for De Gea to make a move to Juventus to stay within the Serie A.
De Gea’s contract is valid until 2028, so Fiorentina are not under huge pressure to sell the Spaniard.
