It turns out that West Ham’s match against Bournemouth was more predictable than fans may have realised.
The Hammers had plenty of chances to take all three points on Saturday evening, but they could not find a breakthrough.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side ultimately had to settle for a point against the in-form Cherries at the London Stadium.
So close yet so far… 😮💨
What did you make of the stalemate with Bournemouth?

However, the recent history between the two sides suggests that it was always likely to end in a stalemate.
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has shared his thoughts on the fixture, which is now close to equalling a Premier League record.

Andoni Iraola reflects on Bournemouth’s sixth consecutive draw with West Ham
After Saturday’s 0-0, West Ham and Bournemouth have now drawn their last six encounters in the Premier League.
Only two fixtures in Premier League history have ended in seven consecutive draws, meaning that record will be up for grabs next season.

Iraola has coincidentally been in charge of the Cherries for the entire six-game run, so he knew what to expect this weekend.
“Yes, it was always going to be a draw,” he joked. “I think I have drawn all the games we’ve played against West Ham in the league. Six from six.”
Iraola may have been disappointed with a draw on previous occasions, but he can consider his team lucky this time.
West Ham should take confidence from Iraola’s reflection on Saturday’s game, even though they failed to score a winner.
The Cherries manager admitted that he viewed the London Stadium as a “difficult place” to get a result, given the Hammers’ recent form.
Your Man of the Match?
Was anyone better than Summerville?
“Obviously, we wanted the three points, but it’s a difficult place to come right now,” Iraola explained.
“In the position they are, they are on a very good run, and I think we have to be happy with the point because it wasn’t our best performance, especially in the first half.”
West Ham will certainly need to maximise their home advantage in their next league game at the London Stadium against Manchester City.
