Liverpool were spared a week of scrutiny by the late heroics of Alexis Mac Allister against Nottingham Forest.
The Argentine popped up with two injury-time goals, though one was ruled out for handball.
It’s a massive result for Arne Slot, who would have been flamed yet again had the result not gone his team’s way.
Not because of drawing at the City Ground, but because of Liverpool’s poor performance against Forest.
Surely there’s no way back to Salah’s best from here?

A special moment for Mac Allister, who was previously at the top of a rather undesirable Premier League list.
Alexis Mac Allister shed record of most shots without a Premier League goal
Coming into Sunday’s clash, Mac Allister was the player who had taken the most shots this season without finding the back of the net.
His 33 efforts on goal without finding joy was by far the highest number across the division coming into this game.

Alexis Mac Allister on the Liverpool performance
As joyful as the full-time scenes were, there was a hesitance to get too carried away from the match-winner.
After the game, Mac Allister told Sky Sports: “Mixed feelings to be honest. Love scoring, love winning. In that sense it’s a really good day.
“But I don’t think we played very well. There are things we need to improve, but it’s always nicer when we win.”

On the disallowed goal, Mac Allister was accepting of the rules, but thought it was a harsh call.
Fortunately, it didn’t end up spoiling the afternoon for Liverpool.
