Nottingham Forest were stunned in the seventh minute of stoppage time against Liverpool as Alexis Mac Allister scored to silence the City Ground.
Forest had edged the first half and perhaps should have been in front through Callum Hudson-Odoi and Igor Jesus, who both wasted good chances.

The Reds richly deserved their point, but after seeing VAR bail Forest out when Mac Allister was deemed to have handled in the build-up to a 90th-minute goal, the Argentine wasn’t denied seven minutes later.
Still, there were positives from the performance from a Forest perspective, with Igor Jesus coming in for some praise from Stan Collymore.

Stan Collymore lauds Forest star Igor Jesus
The Brazilian did miss a very good chance in the first half of the contest, with the player taking too long to get his shot away, allowing the Liverpool defender to clear his lines.
Collymore was very impressed with Jesus, however, and thinks he will score more goals as his career progresses, with or without the Reds.
He said on X: “I hope Forest stick with Igor Jesus. Return this season has been underwhelming, but I’m telling you, he’s got every single attribute a striker needs.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Pace, movement ( needs work), instinct ( you can see him react really well to situations). Every time I watch him, I think he’s got a lot going for him. Maybe needs some 1 on 1 work, but if Forest let him go, don’t be surprised if he scores a hatful for a Dortmund or club who’ll more than take the risk on him.

Jesus needs to do more in the Premier League
In midweek, Jesus produced a 10/10 performance against Fenerbahce, and it’s hard to knock his energy and ability to pop up and score in Europe.
That said, he’s got to do more in the Premier League, and the fact he’s only scored two goals in the top-flight is absolutely cause for concern.
Jesus has now been given a glowing reference by Collymore, though, and if he does see this, it should give him some confidence to kick on and start finding the net more frequently.
Forest did find themselves a gem with Jesus, given he only cost £10 million and now, he must step up for the final 11 games and fire the team to safety!
