Newcastle United are expected to be busy during the summer transfer window.
Newcastle United are still hoping to enjoy a successful end to what has been a difficult season by progressing in the FA Cup and the Champions League and pushing towards the European places in the Premier League.
Following Saturday’s narrow defeat at title chasing Manchester City, Eddie Howe’s men will turn their attention towards the second leg of their Champions League play-off round tie with Qarabag on Tuesday night after they romped to a 6-1 win in the first leg in Azerbaijan. There is another route to silverware still available to the Magpies as they are set to face Manchester City for the fifth time this season after the two clubs were paired in the FA Cup fifth round draw.
No matter what happens between now and May, there is a feeling Newcastle will have to refresh their squad during the summer transfer window and there have been reports suggesting a goalkeeper, left-back, midfielder and striker are all on their list of priorities.
