Mikel Arteta was delighted with the impact of one of his attackers against Tottenham.

Arsenal made easy work of Tottenham on Sunday, winning 4-1 and protecting their lead at the top of the Premier League table. The Gunners thrashed their rivals thanks to a brace from each of Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres, with the second half proving to be the decisive half following a stalemate in the first.

The result means the Gunners get back on track after a disappointing two-goal collapse against Wolves - a draw that allows Manchester City have the title race in their hands, given they have a game in hand and have to play Arsenal.

But with a five-point lead, Arsenal can say the same, and as long as they keep winning, they will keep City at bay. Sunday was an important result after that Wolves slip-up, and it was also important for Arsenal’s attacking players to get back to form.

Mikel Arteta’s men have looked blunt in recent weeks, but several attackers looked dangerous against Spurs, including Bukayo Saka, who has had a tough few weeks.

Speaking after the game, Arteta said of the winger: “I loved his attitude, his presence, how dominant he was in the game from the beginning. The first reaction immediately, he wants to grab the game, and he really wants to say, I'm here. And that's what I love, he didn't score, but he was in every action. I think he was really, really good.”

Saka has been criticised for his lack of impact in recent weeks, but his performance against Spurs shows what he is capable of, and Arsenal will need that kind of form going into the final chunk of the season. Next Sunday, Arsenal face Chelsea in a very tricky outing, and they then face Brighton away from home in what will be another test.
