AFC Bournemouth travelled to London on Saturday evening to face West Ham United at the former Olympic Stadium.
The Cherries were undefeated in six heading into the game, beating Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton along the way.
With Petrovic in goal and the now familiar back four of Alex Jimenez, Marcos Senesi, James Hill and Adrien Truffert unchanged, the midfield saw a change with Tyler Adams coming in for the injured Lewis Cook. He partnered with Alex Scott, a midfield duo that had shown a great partnership earlier in the season.
The wings saw Rayan continue down the right-hand side with Amine Adli down the left, with Eli Junior Kroupi continuing in the hole behind Evanilson.
The home side dominated the early exchanges, with Petrovic at his very best to keep the scores level. As the game progressed, the visitors grew into the game, especially in the second half when the most notable chance came from a solo effort from Rayan, who ran three-quarters of the pitch before curling one on to the post.
In the end, neither side could find a breakthrough with the points shared.
After the game, AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola, who had to sit in the stands to watch the game due to a touchline ban, told Sky Sports…
“It’s a good point for us. I didn’t like our performance in the first half. I think the second half was much better from our side, at least the game was more open, we had our moments, we tried to score, we hit the post.
“They also had their moments, but the game we wanted to play was more like the second half game than the one we played in the first half, which never looked threatening for them.
“I value this point because now this stadium is not an easy place to come because they are in a good run, like us, and they need results and you can feel it from the beginning.
“We knew they were going to start strong but still we couldn’t equal their intensity at the beginning so it definitely hasn’t been our best game of this run of games but away from home in this situation, considering everything, I think it’s a good point for us.”

Grrrr….the unbeaten run continues, but they were there for the taking, and two points were unnecessarily lost today. Feels like the difference between us achieving something incredible and most likely just having a “satisfactory” season.
These are the games we need to win if we want to take the next step.
100% effort though, and a tough opponent in crap weather conditions today.
Congratulations to Adam Smith on becoming #afcb's sixth-highest appearance-maker in history. His late introduction against West Ham was his 419th game for the club, passing Paul Morrell's 418.

Think bringing on Christie, Brooks and Tavernier livened up the game for us.
Young Rayan just needs that one moment to be a match-winner, but today was unlucky.
Truffert given MOM.
Up to 8th at the moment and a clean sheet.
Seven unbeaten, so good day’s work.

Garbo
Thought it was a good point.
Few Obs:
Hill solid again
Adams looked off the pace, and Christie is the better option atm in my opinion.
Evanilson is still absent for the most part
Tavs and Brooks were bright, and we need them for the run-in.
Rayan is still raw, but these are the types of games he will learn most from? – To join the conversation, please click here.
