£19.9m Leeds United star on brink of hero status at Elland Road hero already after recent…

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke.

The vast majority of the summer signings Leeds United made have proven to be drastic upgrades and have been at the centre of the success Daniel Farke’s side has enjoyed this season in the Premier League.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one of the summer signings who has received his fair share of praise, with Alan Shearer recently labelling the Leeds striker as “one of the best around.”

James Justin has also impressed in a variety of positions for Leeds this season, with Gary Lineker pleased to see the defender back to his best after a successful start at his new club.

However, there was another new signing who was the subject of a new chant from the travelling Leeds supporters during their 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, with his performance clearly impressing United fans.

Anton Stach was given a new Mateusz Klich-inspired chant after heroics against Aston Villa

Stach’s sensational free-kick gave Leeds an unexpected lead at Villa Park, only for the hosts to cruelly equalise in the dying minutes after substitute Tammy Abraham scored.

The goal was Stach’s fourth of the campaign, with the German midfielder quickly establishing himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet under Farke when fit.

Following the goal, the travelling Leeds fans anointed the 27-year-old with a chant they used to use for Polish midfielder Klich during his spell with the Whites.

New fan footage recently posted on the talkLeeds Instagram page shows the Leeds supporters serenading Stach with his new chant, with the German’s performances this season making him more than deserving of inheriting the song from Klich.

Data suggests Anton Stach was impressive against Aston Villa

Aside from his goal, Stach’s general performance was also impressive against Aston Villa, with the midfielder justifying Farke’s decision to throw him straight back into the starting XI following his return from injury.

Leeds fans will be hoping that Stach can work his way back to full fitness and remain injury-free for the last 11 games of the Whites’ Premier League campaign, with Leeds ultimately being a far better side when Stach is in the team as opposed to being out of it.

If the German can keep providing these levels of performance consistently, then it will not be long until Stach himself is given hero status at Elland Road, similar to how Klich was during his spell in West Yorkshire.
