Ten Liverpool players completed a recovery session on Monday following the Reds’ vital 1-0 victory at Nottingham Forest, and there’s an update on Jeremy Jacquet.
Liverpool players complete post-Forest recovery session
Liverpool fans are still joyous after Alexis Mac Allister nabbed all three points on Sunday afternoon, as Arne Slot‘s men secured an invaluable win.
Today, 10 players have been pictured undergoing a recovery session at the AXA Training Centre, with all of the starters against Forest present.
There was no sign of Alisson, but he will likely be recovering separately from his on-field teammates.
It suggests that Liverpool have no new fitness issues, with Slot waiting to hear if Florian Wirtz will be fit for Saturday’s visit of West Ham in the Premier League.

• Jeremy Jacquet is not guaranteed to return from a serious shoulder injury this season, with Liverpool said to be in talks over the next possible steps for him
• Slot believes Mac Allister is getting back to his best after his dramatic winner at Forest. He’s such a key man for the Reds
• Virgil van Dijk has praised Liverpool’s mentality at Forest after it has been rightly “questioned” this season. It felt like a win under Jurgen Klopp!
• Rio Ngumoha “needs to be starting” for Liverpool, according to Jamie Carragher. He hasn’t held back on two other Reds players as well!
STATS: Liverpool’s slow starts
Liverpool’s slow starts have been an issue this season, including against Forest, and This is Anfield‘s Joanna Durkan says they must improve:
“Liverpool were fortunate their passive and sluggish start was not punished, as it has been five different times in the first 20 minutes in the league this season. It is not being negative for the sake of it, rather recognition that the trend has gone on for too long, as the players and head coach have recognised. Slot’s side had more than a week between games and with a similar break befalling them ahead of West Ham‘s visit on Saturday, there needs to be a conscious effort to discover intensity from the first whistle, not just when the clock is ticking closer to the last.”

Liverpool FC: On this day
Mohamed Salah Manchester City 2025
On this day in 2025, Salah went joint-third with Gordon Hodgson in Liverpool’s all-time scoring charts (241), finding the net in a 2-0 win away to Man City. He scored in his eighth consecutive game, which feels a world away from his current form.
