David Moyes is looking to get things back on track this evening, after a disappointing defeat against Bournemouth last time out.

Everton are winless in their last five at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and could really do with three points tonight.
Victory will see Everton go above Bournemouth back into eighth.
Moyes has named his team to face United, but there is no place for Charly Alcaraz in the squad – and one insider has now shared why.

Moyes said ahead of tonight’s clash: “”Unfortunately, Charly Alcaraz picked up an injury in training yesterday which has ruled him out.”
It is more frustration for Alcaraz, who missed a handful of games at the start of the calendar year through injury.

He has played just 11 minutes in the Premier League so far in 2026.
It is unclear how serious this muscle injury is.
But hopefully, he won’t be out of action for too long, with some crucial weeks ahead for Everton.
Frustration for Alcaraz
Everton have not exactly been firing on all cylinders in the final third.
So Alcaraz will be frustrated to miss out tonight, as an attacking midfield player who hasn’t seen much involvement of late.

While Alcaraz may have felt he could have started tonight, that may have been unlikely with Moyes appearing to see at least four players ahead of him right now.
We will see what else Moyes says about his injury in the coming days, but hopefully he won’t be out for an extended period and he can keep fighting for minutes.
