Juventus make 29-year-old Tottenham regular prime target for next summer as star continues…

Tottenham have now begun life under new interim boss Igor Tudor.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has been linked with a move away from Hotspur Way of late, as the shot-stopper looks to get out of the ever-pressuring role between the sticks at N17.

While there were reports about Tottenham being forced into giving any potential suitors a discount for the 29-year-old when summer comes around, those reported interested clubs have been ever-increasing.

Can Tottenham get a decent fee for Vicario?

Vicario has been quite inconsistent since his move to Tottenham, and while he has established his reflexes on the last line of late, there is always going to be a lot of talk regarding his abilities if he were to continue at Tottenham. And that is where these rumours about a possible exit make sense.

He is potent when it comes purely to saving a shot at goal, but then there have been vulnerabilities, especially when it comes to saving crosses and from set-piece situations.

A section of Lilywhites supporters have been vying for a possible upgrade in the goalkeeping department, especially if Spurs can sell Vicario for a decent fee.

Juventus are not alone in their pursuit of the former Empoli man, with Inter Milan also said to be interested in signing Vicario.

As Juventus look to reshape their roster with Vicario being their primary choice, he is not the only one, though. They have also been keeping an eye out for Marco Carnesecchi as an alternative, given his recent performances donning the Atalanta colours.

For Tottenham, this comes down to whether they find a possible upgrade to Vicario in the transfer market. If so, selling him is not even close to a big deal, especially if the Lilywhites can sanction a €25-30m move.

There have been links with a move for James Trafford, who has been quite highly regarded on the English shores but has been struggling for playing time at Manchester City.

If he were to come in and take up the #1 role from Vicario, I don’t think any Lilywhites supporter would mind that.

We will see how this one goes, but an upgrade on Vicario doesn’t sound too bad.
