David Moyes says Man Utd star was 'bloody brilliant' against his Everton side, stopped the gameplan

Michael Carrick has Senne Lammens to thank for Manchester United’s three points against Everton just as much as he does Benjamin Sesko, and David Moyes agrees with this.

Manchester United claimed a 1-0 win over Everton on Monday night, securing a fifth victory in six games since Michael Carrick was appointed head coach.

Senne Lammens was absolutely vital in the victory, making a couple of strong saves, but more impressive was his dominance in the air.

Keeping a clean sheet, Lammens was one of United’s best players on the pitch, a statement which David Moyes has now agreed with.

“We didn’t expect the goalie to do what he did tonight. He was bloody brilliant tonight. For me, he was the best player tonight.”

For the opposition manager to come out and explain that Lammens basically nullified his plan for the game must be so sweet for Carrick to hear, as his goalkeeper goes from strength to strength.

Who was your Man Utd MAN OF THE MATCH vs Everton?

Let us know why!

Lammens’ stats against Everton show his brilliance

Lammens is having a dream opening season for Manchester United, with that number one spot almost guaranteed to be his next season, something that wasn’t always certain when he first arrived.

Against Everton, Lammens had one of his most impressive performances of all, as his statistics from the match demonstrate.

Four saves

0.87 goals prevented

Four punches

Two high claims

11 recoveries

Four clearances

Lammens’ aerial dominance in particular is a massive positive for United, considering how poor both Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir were in this regard.

The days of celebrating every Lammens’ high claim are gone, but every so often, we need to appreciate how good he is.
