West Ham Silent on Brady Exit Talk as Rumours Mount Behind the Scenes

West Ham are continuing to plead ignorance following rumours at the weekend that Hammers vice-chair Karren Brady was set to stand down from her position at the club.

As [Claret & Hugh covered on Saturday morning](https://www.claretandhugh.info/youre-fired-karren-brady-exit-rumours-rock-west-ham/), there appeared to be preparation for Brady to leave her role at the London Stadium to concentrate on her House of Lords duties and an increasing workload on The Apprentice.

Brady also has a newspaper column and various business interests which have grown as her visibility at the [London Stadium](https://www.claretandhugh.info/london-stadium-bio/) has diminished.

That said, the Baroness was a prominent presence for Sunday’s draw against AFC Bournemouth, despite tongues wagging among staff on matchday.

No Denials, Just Pleas of Ignorance

However, several senior members of West Ham’s upper management have towed the company line, claiming to know nothing of the reports — although it is telling that there has been no outright denial.

Behind the scenes, the club are bracing themselves for more bad press as the end of the month approaches and the latest set of accounts are due to be released.

Whether Brady is seeking to distance herself from what could lie ahead remains unclear, but it is worth noting that the original rumours suggested she could depart within the next two weeks. Of course, it could be that recent rumours have no foundation whatsoever and perhaps it’s wishful think from many fans who’d like a change at the top?

A lot more should become clear over the next ten days. For now, both Karren and West Ham are saying very little — and that silence is speaking volumes.
