Nottingham Forest midfield ace Ibrahim Sangare is said to have caught the eye of Manchester United as thoughts start to turn to the summer transfer window.
Sangare has been a key player for the Reds this season. He has formed an excellent partnership with Elliot Anderson in the centre of the pitch and has developed into the kind of player Forest hoped they were getting when he signed in the summer of 2023.
The 28-year-old’s display in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Liverpool was arguably among his best in the Garibaldi. And it seems his performances this term have not gone unnoticed elsewhere.

United are known to be targeting midfield reinforcements ahead of next term, with “two top experienced” players said to be on their shopping list. With that in mind, Sangare has piqued their interest, according to GIVEMESPORT.
The Ivory Coast international’s Forest teammates Anderson and centre-back Murillo have also been linked with the Old Trafford outfit. Both the England international and the Brazilian have a long list of potential suitors going into what will be a crucial transfer window for the Reds.
The summer business Forest are able to do will be determined by which division they are left planning for. As it stands, their Premier League status is far from secure with 11 games of the campaign remaining as they are just two points clear of the bottom three.
Vitor Pereira has been brought in as the club’s fourth head coach of the season with the remit of clinching survival. Relegation would leave the Reds vulnerable to their star players being picked off by rivals.

United are looking for a replacement for Casemireo, who is set to move on at the end of the campaign. It is claimed their transfer shortlist has been cut down from between eight to 12 names to just a handful as they plot their summer business.
Recruiting players with Premier League know-how is said to be important for United. Anderson, Brighton and Hove Albion's Carlos Baleba, Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton and Newcastle United's Sandro Tonali have been identified as “primary targets”.
Sangare also has plenty of Premier League experience under his belt, having made just shy of 50 appearances in the division for Forest. It took him time to find his feet in English football following his £30 million switch from PSV, while a serious bout of malaria during his first season Trentside had a significant effect. He has been superb this term, though, and will have a big part to play in the Reds’ battle for survival.
