Farke is again looking to help Lees get a foothold in the Premier League. However, the Whites were once one of the top teams in the Premier League in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has again reminded us how good Leeds were, and how highly-rated their players were around two decades back.
Gary Neville picks ex-Leeds goalkeeper Nigel Martyn as one of the best in the Premier League era
On Monday Night Football, Jamie Carragher, Edwin van der Sar and the Sky team were compiling a list of the top ten goalkeepers from the Premier League era.
Gary Neville added his analysis later in the evening and insisted that many great goalkeepers played in teams that didn’t win the league.
He picked out former Blackburn Rovers star Tim Flowers and also stressed that ex-Leeds goalkeeper Nigel Martyn as one of the greatest he played against.
He said on the Gary Neville podcast: “Tim Flowers did a fantastic job at Blackburn.
“Nigel Martyn at Leeds, going back to keepers I played with.”

He was part of the Leeds team that played the Champions League semifinal a couple of years before his departure and was one of the best goalkeepers of his era.
It is no surprise that players who played with him or against him consider Martyn as one of the best goalkeepers they have seen.
He was a giant of a goalkeeper who provided a certain amount of stability for the Leeds team at the back for several years, which made them a tough team to play against.
Daniel Farke would love a player of Martyn’s presence in the current Leeds squad, amid their goalkeeping problems.
